Rena Hoffman

Rena Hoffman is a Soul Centered Psychotherapist, Arts Therapist and Artist.

She has been working in private practice since 1996, facilitating professional development workshops, groups, mentoring, rites of passage & private sessions. Rena found, from both her personal & professional life, the undeniable positive effect the process of creating has on pain, whether emotional, psychological or physical. She suggests to just jump in, doodle, scribble...see what happens.

While primarily using the creative arts as a base for her practice, her work stems from a Soul Centred philosophy of the deep, essential interrelationship between the ‘mind, body and soul’. (see Kairos Centre).

The essence of Rena’s work is based on a ‘mind, body, soul’ framework, encouraging building relationship with one's whole self. This may be quick, or involve in-depth therapy, which takes longer. This differs to other current therapeutic approaches by considering that therapy is not just necessarily about fixing something that is broken, but about attending to the rich language of soul as it manifests in our day to day lives.

Through working with Rena & through art, there is great opportunity to articulate deep sorrow or profound joy & long lasting transformation, something that is often ignored in today’s fast lives.
Briefly, Soul Centred Psychotherapy integrates Mindfulness presence, Jungian psychology, Giving form, Gestalt, Dream Work, NLP, Trance, somatic awareness. She assists people to live a deeper & more meaningful life, helping them tap in to their full potential.

Art Through Therapy is suitable for anybody, young or old.

Rena has been creating all her life, painting, printmaking & babies.
She has a Diploma in Soul Centred Psychotherapy, BA in Psychology, & is listed as a current member of  the ASCP (Association of Soul Centred Psychotherapy) & PACFA (Psychotherapy & Counselling Foundation of Australia).
